Louis Quek is a Singaporean sound artist and sound designer working across sound installation, live audiovisual performance, and computational systems. His practice explores the interplay between sound, space, perception, memory, and materiality, using listening to examine how we experience and relate to our surroundings.
Approaching sound as an ephemeral and transformative medium, his work draws on psychoacoustics, machine listening and feedback systems. Through evolving textures, fragmented rhythms, glitches, and algorithmic processes, he creates emergent sonic experiences that blur the boundaries between the physical and perceptual, inviting listeners to reconsider their relationship with sound, space, and place.
